Post-Profession

I am now a Secular Franciscan!!!!

Profession was very beautiful!  During the actual profession, I was very nervous and not sure what to do logistically at times, but it was very beautiful.  I am glad for all those who were able to make it and all those who couldn't that prayed for me.  I think the prayers really helped!  I am feeling more confident now that I have made this commitment that He'll give me the graces I need to live it out :).

It was great to have all the groups of people in my life represented that had helped me in my faith journey... my family, my ODU friends, my Bible-study peeps, and my fraternity bros/sisters.  It meant a lot to me.  (I felt a little bad because I think I didn't do such a great job of introducing people, but it turned out alright)

A big thank you to my family who before profession did the rosary with me.  Although it was the funniest rosary I've ever prayed, I loved it and I'm sure Mary loved it too :).

So what's the plan man for Post-profession-ness?

Welp, I am now looking forward to spending some time in prayer about where I'm being called next .... cause it doesn't stop here :).  You know the part in Narnia, the last battle, where Aslan keeps calling all the creatures/people/whatnot further up and further in? (it's the best part of that book)  Well, that's what it's like in this faith journey....being called further up and further in.

Also looking forward to the women's conference, to the lenten season, and hopefully the end of winter soon (looking like some snow on Saturday - not great, but as long as it's not a snowmagedon it's ok with me).

Prayer intentions:
*For a couple in our fraternity who just lost their son in an accident.  May he rest in peace and may the Holy Spirit comfort their family when they need it the most.
*For the neighbor who helped push my car out of the snow this morning.  May God send him someone if he is ever in need of help.
*For all those who have asked me to pray for them that I've forgotten and for all those who have no one else to pray for them.

Amen.
